Bridges is a unique, inspiring and encouraging community for single adults. We focus on building your faith in God, developing healthy relationships and having as much fun together as possible.
We have been successfully serving single adults in the Sacramento region for 8 years. We do community well and constantly practice making people feel welcome so they can genuinely enjoy our evenings together. Because we focus on helping people develop healthy relationships with God and others, we have celebrated many, many marriages that were born at Bridges because a great date begins with a good friend.
The Bridges community is filled with warm and loving people who have become my good friends which I have been blessed with, and I eagerly look forward to going to Bridges every week.
Friendship
Our community is a great place to meet people, develop friendships and deepen faith. We strongly encourage people to get to know each other and develop healthy relationships.
Acceptance
To keep Bridges safe, our community honors one another in every way. This is only possible through the acceptance and encouragment of each other.
Fun
Sundays are filled with lots of laughter and enjoyment from 5-7p. In addition, you can come early for dance lessons or happy hour and there are many fun events throughout the year.
All Ages
Bridges is for single adults of all ages. Our organization does not focus on one particular age group. Attendees range in age from people in their late 40’s to individuals in their early 80’s.
Diversity
Bridges is for people from all backgrounds, politics and beliefs. While our teaching is Christian and bible-based, Bridges is a community that is open for anybody to attend.
Faith Based
Bridges doesn’t promote any particular church or denomination and is not run or owned by a church. We attend many different churches or no church at all. But we take the Bible seriously and teach the Bible honestly, not through denominational lenses.
At Bridges we encourage you to develop lasting friendships with others by sharing your life with one another. We believe a great date starts with a good friend.

Bridges Founder and Pastor
Being married later in life, his personal experience, passion for single adults and commitment to Biblical living have helped him to identify with and counsel single adults very effectively. With a primary gift of leadership, Michael enjoys developing people and has a fresh, authentic style of teaching that relates well to others who have experienced life in the real world.

Phillip followed a decade of working and consulting with a number of public institutions and advocacy groups at the local, state, and national levels with a career in ministry serving as a pastor, church planter, and church administrator. He is a frequent speaker at churches, conferences, and media events.

The first night felt awkward because I am on the introverted side, however, I knew this was something I would need to overcome myself. It really was Michael’s teaching that brought me back week after week. I started making friends after a few months and before I knew it, I was becoming part of the Bridges community/family.
Bridges and all the wonderful people there are truly like my family. I thank God every day for Michael and this ministry. It gave me a new lease on life. When you are married you don’t think about single people and how hard it can be without a partner. But being in a community of singles brings pure joy to my heart.”
